We built Landit with privacy in mind. Here's exactly what we collect, why, and how we protect it.

Who we are
Landit (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the Landit web application and the Landit browser extension (collectively, “the Service”). This privacy policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.
Data we collect
Web application
- Account information — Name and email address provided when you sign up, managed via Clerk.
- Resume data — Resume files and structured data you upload or build in the app.
- Job search data — Keywords, filters, and job results associated with your searches.
- Application profile — Contact details, links, and saved answers you enter for job autofill.
- Interview session data — Job descriptions, transcribed questions, and AI-generated answers from your interview sessions.
- Usage data — Pages visited, actions taken, and error logs used to improve the Service.
Browser extension
- Authentication token — Stored locally in your browser's extension storage to authenticate requests to the Landit API. Never transmitted to any third party.
- Page content — Text from job application form fields on the current page, read locally to perform autofill. This data is not stored or sent to our servers.
- Interview transcript — Audio transcribed locally via the browser's Web Speech API and sent to the Landit API to generate answer suggestions. Transcripts may be stored in your account if you have an active interview session.
How we use your data
- To provide and improve the Service — powering job searches, resume tailoring, interview coaching, and autofill.
- To authenticate your account and secure access to the extension.
- To send service notifications (job search results, interview session updates).
- To diagnose errors and improve reliability.
We do not use your data for advertising, credit assessment, or any purpose unrelated to the Service.
Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share data only with:
Supabase
Our database and authentication infrastructure provider.
Clerk
Identity and authentication management.
OpenAI
Your resume text, job description, and transcribed question are sent to the OpenAI API solely to generate interview answer suggestions. API data usage policy
Vercel
Hosting and infrastructure.
All third-party providers are bound by data processing agreements and may not use your data for their own purposes.
Data retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from the dashboard settings. Extension tokens are invalidated immediately on revocation.
Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Extension tokens are hashed with SHA-256 before storage and are never stored in plain text. We apply row-level security policies so each user can only access their own data.
Your rights
Depending on your location you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the dashboard or by email. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
